In 1997 Barack Obama was invited to take part in a "stag do" the traditional British celebration of a bridegroom before his wedding. Unwhittingly he found himself on a pub crawl frequenting some of the less desirable drinking establishments of Bracknell in Berkshire.

The minutiae that appears when someone becomes famous is, uh, meaningless. What next? Obama sat in a barber's chair right after Guido the mafioso sat there, which may mean something, we don't know what? What's pathetic is that anyone with the most minute attachment to the most limited amount of the new celebrity's life, is always able to find someone willing to pay them 30 pieces for their trivia.
Meanwhile, college roommates, professors, and those who worked with him on the streets have enough respect for him and themselves to keep their counsel.-
