Do Israeli and Palestinian kids have different hopes, fears and aspirations for the future and does this reflect the conflict in their daily lives?

Very insightful. We need more stories like this because the children really are our future. They are biggest reason why adults should be setting an example of how co-exist peacefully instead of teaching the next generations how to hate, fight and kill.

Very good. Some truth, not propaganda.

The children's dreams perfectly reflect the issues they face - in reality.

The answer to peaceful co-existence is obvious, but to the Israeli's. When will they learn it isn't going to come from the end of a gun?

A Jew I respect highly once or twice said: "He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder."

MURDER! My sentiments exactly. That applies to the ignorant Condi Rice and all the rest.

i don't understand why we western governments haven't stepped in to push for a Palestinian state...I mean, it's kinda our fault that all this fighting is going on anyway. I mean, the romans kicked the jews out over a thousand years ago - then we kicked all the Palestinians (who'd been living there for a thousand years) out because the jews used to live there (a thousand years before)...the whole thing was ridiculous....it'd be like the Native Americans coming back in force to demand we return manhattan island...Somehow i doubt that new yorkers would just peacefully be relocated to southern New Jersey...

We can't undo the damage we've done, but we can at least offer some salve. A Palestinian state is the only fair and just thing we can do now...And i, for one, can't understand what's gumming up the works.
