This guy really is happy with what he worked on. It is truly amazing technology to have images from different sources spatially related so you can navigate through the images in a spatial manner is pretty ingenious.
I could see this technology developed further to be used in the creation of interactive movies that could have navigable plot lines with different outcomes or different points of view.
I was thinking of a movie that you could watch from each character's perspective and you can switch to that character's point of view with a remote control, the movie could have interactive features similar to a game so that based on the choices you make you can get a different outcome, only it's a story with a "virtual" plot.

That's pretty cool you guys thought in the realm of virtual reality because that was my first reaction when i saw this. I immediately thought that this software could fuse seamlessly with a VR type of apparatus and help introduce an entirely new median. Or at least a Wii remote with finger reflectors, like in minority report.
