Crystal River Florida is one of the only places in the world that allows people to swim with and touch wild manatees. But tour operators are breaking rules and guidelines to insure that manatee encounter. I made this film to examine our role as consumers in manatee harassment and abuse. Winner of the prestigious 2008 Our World Underwater Video Competition.

It saddens me as well. The manatee is one of those marquee animals that stirs our emotions when we see it. For operators to continue to get away with this is a shame. I encourage anyone who wants to effect change to goto savethemanatee.org and get involved in their write in campaigns,
