Texas is, no doubt about it, a "red" state. But according to this Time piece, the lone star state is enjoying the "rodeo" that is the Democratic primary process (a primary and a caucus, each getting a portion of the state's delegates to hand out!) between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Check out the recent polling of Democrats in Texas and Ohio. Guess what it shows? A darn close race!

Funny thing is the Democratic Party lost Texas when they registered Black people to vote. People didn't want to be in the same party as "them." It's looking to me like one of "them" is going to bring Texas back to the Democrats. I've never seen so many Republicans that intend to vote for a Democrat before. Obama!

your comment about so many republicians voting for BO, is it possible they are voiting for him because they feel he cannot defeat JM in the election? Just something to think about.....

cellin, Nothing as sophisticated as that they are Obama all the way. McCain only figures in because they won't vote for him at all.

Are you insinuating that residents from The Great State of Texas are not sophisticated enough to strategize?

No, I think they are just voting for their own candidate. Maybe if the Republicans had a better candidate they might strategize. They don't so why bother?

Many of us Texan Republicans are strategizing to select a Democratic Candidate that John McCain can beat.

Who would that be? Why would you want John No Brain McCain of the hundred year war? I noticed you have one post, this one. Are you one of the RNCs ten cent bloggers?

McCain hates me the least; however, Huckabee would be my first choice. This is my third post simply because I happened upon this forum while searching for election results, and was mildly confused as to your impression that Texans could not strategize.

I live in Texas. I have had several Republicans tell me they are voting for Obama, no strategy just because they can't according to them vote for more war.
