Relax. It is not the Republicans that benefit from playing the race card. Think about it; most minorities are members of the democratic party. In contrast, playing the White race card will get you maligned as being the equivalent of a member of the KKK.

It is o.k. to have associations built around the race of Black, Hispanic, or Asian. As an example, the recent commercials advertising the United Negro College Fund lift up and exclude based upon a person being or not being black (i.e. Negro). All other races, as the name implies, are excluded. Unless, of course, they would like to donate funds.

Can you imagine, if for example, the word Negro was changed to White. Hmmm, United White College Fund. I'm sure that would be a hit, excuse me, a target for every media outlet in America.

I agree, let's keep race out of the political debate. Race has, unfortunately, been the tool (card) of too many individuals who would like to believe and interpret all of life's difficulties through the lens of race. This is divisive, delusional, and allows a person who needs to change to deny that change is needed. Rather, his/her problems are because his/her race is how the logic goes and allows the individual an excuse to not have to take a good hard look in the mirror.

Sometimes, most of the time, it's you and not your race that is causing you difficulties. If one interprets all of life through the lens of racism, he/she will begin to see it everywhere. This is quite similar to someone who is paranoid. Pretty soon they are convinced that the world is out to get them.

Yes, the facts, let's stick to the facts for once and keep race out of it now and forever.

1st i am a republican second I don't think based on your response you understood my post. The NAACP was created out of nessecity not be included not to exclude anyone.

Brown vs the Board was broguht before the Supreme Court by the NAACCP by then lawyer and eventually suprem court justice Thurgood Marshal and the NAACP legal defense team.

There is and always have been membership (including on the board of people from all races.

As for he so-called "race card" which is a term not used in my video. I never got one so I have certainly never played one.

    Thanks for your comments though.

    dgmcgaugh,

Your thinking is flawed and antiquated. Before you make such ignorant statements, I suggest you read up on your history of the United States (and its institutions).

    Dear Larry,

What I object to is your "racist terroristic" interpretation of the Associated Press' picture of Barak Obama. I and others interpreted the attire worn by Barak Obama to be Muslim/Islamic dress. In other words, what you clearly saw as traditional African dress was interpreted by others as being traditional Muslim/Islamic attire. The Muslim component and not any African component was what I many others found to objectionable.

Again, I say that those who interpret life through the lens of racism will begin to see racism everywhere. Sometimes it is racism other times it's not.

In the case of the photo, it was clearly not racist. However, it was inappropriate. I'll explain.

A friend of mine worked for the John McCain campaign during the primary in my state. I asked him about the photo. He stated that he would not trust the photo. He went on to say that a lot of stuff like this circulates during campaigns and that much of it is baseless. I have relayed his comments to others.

The young people really like Barak Obama. High School and Junior High students, regardless of race, overwhelmingly support Barak Obama. This should give hope to you, I and others who would like to see race taken out the politics.

And yes, you clearly played the Race Card all throughout your video. Take a deep breath; review your video and you should understand why I am saying this.

About your NAACP comments, I never mentioned the NAACP, not once. I did, however, mention the United Negro College Fund. Am I mistaken to believe that European American (white) college students are eligible to receive funds from this organization.
