That sounds rational to me....I am reading A World Lit Only by Fire" about the Middle Ages and we have not come to far since then...in some ways.

You might want to add to your reading queue the latest tome by Christopher Hitchens, 'God is Not Great,' which mentions the fact that religion was created during "the infancy of mankind" and should, by now, be seen for what it truly is... antiquated bollocks. There was so much to learn, and, consequently, be afraid of before the advent of critical thought via scientific findings and fact that the creation of a book (several books really) filled with fairy tales—that would serve to answer the many unanswerable questions—must have seemed a logical solution to many people during the middle ages and earlier times.
Hasn't humanity come a long enough way to see how ludicrous a notion religion is?
Apparently, not all of us have.

Im gay, and my country (uk) is tolerant towards me, and just last night we had an earthquake. I think that Israeli MP is onto something.
