....It has been like a nightmare watching my community fall for this nonsense...I am hopeful for a "Change" but am not sure it will happen yet. ..the dynamics are still not changing ..I hope I am wrong.
http://www.askapatient.com is an important site for Americans who are being brainwashed by Pharmaceutical sponsored Advertising. Look at it carefully and scroll down to see all rankings..not just the top ones that tend to be more positive. Also be sure to see the cold and allergy meds we are all taking that cause violent behavior.

I read an interesting book called "The Crazy-Makers: How America Is Eating Ourselves Crazy" and it's all about this nutritionist (sp?) who pretty much proved the link between diet, nutrition and behaviour. In one example she had teenagers NOT drink any sugary sodas and then then asked them to chart their attitude and attention span vs. the control group that ate the usual junk food. Not surprisingly the non-junk food group felt more rested, had better attitudes, got less depressed, could concentrate more, grades improved, ect. I think diet plays a huge role in behaviour (of course, I am writing this feeling slightly depressed after eating a bag of M&M's for breakfast)

as a teen, i blamed pharmaceutical and insurance companies and was greatly suspicious of the doctor for my mother's illnesses. after being diagnosed with high blood pressure, he prescribed one medicine after another, all with negative side effects, which he prescribed more medicine for, each having another negative side effect.
eventually, she had a stroke. we became broke. so much for medical school.
granted that our diet back then consisted mainly of grease, salt, sugar, and bleached starch, i became depressed and ate lots of hallucinogenic mushrooms, which, ironically, opened up my mind and turned me on to an alternative lifestyle more connected with the natural world, veganism, preventive medicine, and a holistic diet and exercise regiment.
so i guess it depends what kind of drugs we mix with malnutrition??
