I suppose if this was just a High School popularity contest, name-calling, poorly socialized children like Ann Coulter and Bill Cunningham might hurt Barack Obama. Fortunately, the presidential race is 100% serious. Which is why I trolled the list of long-shot third party candidates looking for the "BEST NAME" for President. I think I found a few highly-qualified candidates.

What a great retort to Anorexic Coultergeist and Billy the cunning Ham.
Did my nick-naming them make me as bad as they are?
Of course it did! I'm just not as rotten to the core since I don't do it for a living.
There would have been at least a couple dozen men on my college football team who would have coveted Anorexic Coulter's Adam's Apple. Most women don't have those prominent Adam's Apples unless they are getting testosterone shots,
Come on. Fess up, Anorexic.-

Interesting that Obama's name becomes an issue now, so it's time for the Ripusoffican's to try to take out Obama - losers that they are.

Obama is a pefectly good name. I really think there was an Irishman in the tree O'Bama and they just ran the name together to hide it. What do you think?

I agree, MM! Last night I was there when he spoke in Fort Worth and he alluded to the fact that someone had searched way back on his family tree and had discovered that he was related to Dick Cheney!
He got a big laugh, some subsequent sympathetic "boo's" and finished the mention by apologizing for the link and that he pledged NOT to act like that branch of the family.
Big applause.
My battery was low and I missed recording that part of his comments. And plus I need a hands on tutorial on how to download that video onto my stupid Vista OS loaner laptop and then edit it and worry about all the upload machinations.
Sometimes I can be a "Low Slearner".
Wish I weren't cuz there are several that I would like to upload.-

It's a funny thing I keep running into Republicans that intend to vote for him. How about you? I certainly hope so. I'd like Texas to realize that few of them are rich enough to vote Republican.

Oh, MM, you couldn't be more on target! I get the biggest kick listening to WBAP 820 AM's "Midnight Trucking Radio Show" where scores of truck drivers who are lucky to gross $125K BEFORE expenses sound off about "them damned liberals"!
Those guys are always talking about buying some product that gives them 1,000,000 miles between "overhauls".
Stop and do the math.
If you could AVERAGE 60 MPH (very hard even driving 85 MPH with all the stops they have to make) and you worked 80 hours a week and DROVE all of those hours (impossible) and got paid for "deadheadding" (driving back without a load) you could drive 4800 miles a week (impossible but we're figuring it the way middle class Republicans do math), you could earn about $2,400 per week at the very top non owner-operator rate with safe-driving bonuses and productivity bonuses.
Now without vacations, doctor visits, downtime and stopping to do required maintenance you GROSS $124,800 for the year! Even using sleeper cabs and eating out on the cheap and buying the cheapest diesel possible (-$89K @ 7 mpg and $2.50 per gallon diesel) leaves you in an income category that according to Comedian Patton Oswalt often chides, "Means George Bush HATES you, you MORON"!
Some of those "Big Rigs" get 5-7 miles a gallon if they are LUCKY!
Yes, between the NRA misinformation machine and the demonizing of Democrats, liberals and progressives, these guys are absolutely CLUELESS. I'm not a trucker but based on the ads I hear and the costs I hear, that seems like an awfully thin margin. I'll yield to anyone who has different documentable figures but I've never met a wealthy trucker who drove his own rig or was an owner/operator of a single big rig.
At least now, Radio Rightyland is starting to realize what a debacle CAFTA and NAFTA were and now, corporations have pushed through legislation that makes it legal for Mexican nationals to drive instead of to or just slightly across the border, WAY farther in country AND using trucks that often don't meet U.S. safety standards.
Just like I've said, the illegal immigration flap is not really about illegal immigration, it is about exploiting the cheapest labor source corporate America can find.
If they could import Chinese factory workers and put them in dormitories here and just pay them a dollar a day and give them a 9' X 9' room and three bowls of rice a day, you'd hear illegal aliens wanting to close the border to imported Chinese, Sri Lankans, Cambodians and other third world laborers.-

I can never remember INS wanting to pick up illegals. I grew up in the Sacremento Valley about twenty-five miles from Sacremento. My best friend lived across the road and down a bit from a farm labor camp. That valley is FLAT. From her upstairs bedroom window we would see when INS was coming to raid the camp from miles away because they would come down the road at night with at least twenty-five (probably more) cars. There was generally not that much night traffic and a string of bumper to bumper cars lit up the sky. We would run across the hall to her sisters room and watch the camp come alive. They ran every direction and when the cars got there the only ones left were legal. INS would hang around a bit and shine spot lights all over the place then leave. We were just kids and knew it was just a game. They are still doing it.

Yeah, MM.
They use a big bus here in Texas and lead with a couple of cars.
They are taught some really invasive racial profiling like looking to see expensive brand name shoes. Wear a top of the line Nike and they leave you alone figuring you are some American-born kid who can pressure his parents to buy him the best.
They go after the guys in "Gimme" caps and non-designer jeans and tees.
If you haven't listened to Cosmo's Pirate song and watched the video, you gotta. All he "left out" was the software-created eye patch for Bush and his pals.
