Ellen gets emotional about gay teen killed

After much speculation of her being contracted to not talk about gay issues on her show, Ellen Degeneres has finally spoken out on the tragic murder of a 15 year-old boy killed by a classmate in Los Angeles because he was gay. Ellen who clearly gets emotional over this subject finally decided to use her voice to try and make a change in hatred towards gay people and the injustices of citizens of the United States feeling "second class"

Kudos to you E, you continue to make us proud!

  • If that was all Larry did was give Brandon a Valentine, then that's not worth getting killed over, no matter how much you feel threatened by it, you can just tell the person you're not interested and leave it at that. I haven't been able to find anything that says there was more to it than that so I don't know if Larry did more than just ask Brandon to be his Valentine.

  • from my understanding he was very effeminate (and you know how manly boys feel about that...). he was also a foster child and was currently living in a shelter. he was 15 and in jr. high...probably an outcast.

    it's a really sad story and i heard some organs were given new homes (if he had family would they have been given away so quickly?). what i don't get is why kids are shooting each other at school. hate has always existed (not saying it's ok), but why so violent? i'm glad i'm not in school anymore...
