  • Great character, you definitely highlighted that he was trying to do something good for the community and for the children's safety. I admire him for stepping in where the government failed to do so and standing up for something as simple as a crosswalk. Would have like to see more BRoll or movement, maybe video his trial in court or talking to police/ gov. officials about it? Nice story tho, good job!
  • I like the way Whitney gets passionate about it near the end of the pod. I liked the outside shots. I think the order of the edits should be shuffled around because the beginning, when he is in his kitchen making breakfast with the potatoes, is not that interesting, mainly because he is not looking at the camera. I think the music all the way through does a bit of a disservice: it is music that makes me sad, sad, sad, but the pod is not sad. I would rethink the music or at least let it come in and out at key points for impact, but not all the way through. Good work.

  • Thanks for the comments, Julie. I would disagree only in that I really find this story sad. It's sad that a man gets arrested for doing something for the people where he lives. I was hoping to convey that. If it's not, then I need to recut it to do so.

  • Nice Job Kris!
I love the story, especially because I think change starts with "me" and that is what your character did.
    Keep it up !!

  • Good character and an interesting story. I would change the music. It makes the pacing a bit slow and the overall feeling too sad. Even if you go with no music in some places, I think you could liven it up and mix up the pacing. It would have been interesting to have heard something from people in the neighborhood about their feelings on his arrest and about the importance of having crosswalks. I liked the pod though and look forward to seeing the final cut.
