- Agreed, while this is a great breakthrough, the politics and money of the pharmaceutical world will keep this from many infected patients for a very long time.

- It is an amazing discovery. But I have to say I'm shocked it made news and took so long. If there is ever going to be a cure for AIDS, it wont come until years after the continent of Africa is wiped out. There's no $$$$ in a cure. THe drug companies are kicking themselves for making the smallpox one so they are trying to capitalize on AIDS and hold off as long as possible. The technology is there to cure many things...but if you cure it you cant make money like you can off treating symptoms. Pharmacy is a nasty business.

- It might lead to a cure, but one big problem is that HIV tends to mutate quickly. What could be a currently perceived cure might not be effective if the virus takes a specific evolutionary turn.
  
  However I must admit, it is quite the discovery.
