Harry Potter is as addictive as being hooked on drugs, according to a medical expert. Dr Jeffrey Rudski found one in 10 of the boy wizard's fans were suffering withdrawal symptoms - including depression and loss of appetite - after JK Rowling's final tale, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, was published.

Harry Potter has a cult following. Just like Trekkies and Star Wars fans. Getting over addiction is difficult. Perhaps those going through withdrawal should get outside for some fresh air and a game of Muggle Quidditch.

Addicting. Tell me about it, I read Prisoner of Azkaban in two days. My muggle brain couldn't resist such witchcraft and wizardry. It's no wonder that the Harry Potter books are nominated for the FAVORITE BOOK category in Nick's Kids' Choice Awards. Jack Black is hosting the event again. ohhhhh the fun that will ensue. I agree Harry Potter is addictive but I don't suffer withdrawal symptoms. There is more to life.
