She's unpredictable, and Chinese fans knew that going in to her concert in Shanghai. But when Bjork ended a passionate performance of her song "Declare Independence" by shouting "Tibet! Tibet!", her fans were left feeling "uneasy" and later they made harsh criticisms of her political outburst.
While Chinese state-run media didn't report on her statement, online sites were filled with angry comments about her declaration.

I'm not gonna watch the video because I am sure i will cringe!
But I was in Dharamasala in N. India recently, heard first hand stories about what the Chinese are still doing to Tibetans.
Normal Chinese people perhps aren't aware of what their government is doing, they need to be made aware. In a weird, closed society - maybe weird ways of making them aware about Tibet can only help.
As they say - no such thing as bad publicity, in this case it is bad for Bjork to most perhaps but NOT for Tibet.
Tibet is dying - it needs more international attention, anything helps!
