This is a rough cut of my first pod as an SEP.

Record shops around the world are closing down at alarming rates due to digital music and illegal downloads. Zia Records manages to keep its doors open, but how?

  • Wow dude this is great, love the intro, love the topic great character and I like how you moved it along. The only thing I kind of wanted to hear was a customer point of view, like what brings you here instead of going online for your music. But overall great stuff, really enjoyed it.

  • Love the intro graphics, love the pace, love the subject. Interviews with customers are definitely going to be key though. I think it's also important that you mention why the major record store chains went out of business within the video. That might lend itself to getting interviews with students on campus and ask them where they get their music. Great footage of the concerts and also the stores that went out of business. Good stuff!

    I thought the production quality was immaculate and the editing was superb. The subject is one that I am very passionate about. My only criticism is that I would like to see the record store owner talking about the importance of buying from local businesses. All the things that make this store special are things that make most local businesses special; they go out of their way to make your "buying experience" special and out-of-the-ordinary. Buy local! Put this pod on TV!
