The reality of the strife between Palestinian and Israeli interests is too poignant and heated for his use of the word "shoah" to be considered "ironic".
I am also a little confused as to why you condemned the media for making "mountains out of molehills", but chose not to actually offer us an alternative meaning to his words or intentions.
While I do not think he has genocidal intentions, I think his use of the word "shoah" was carefully planned and articulated directly and acutely, used with the intent to demonstrate his opposition to the bombings.
