From the Amendment to the bills, definitions:

2. Homegrown Terrorism - the use, planned use, or threatened use, of force or violence by a group or individual born, raised, or based and operating primarily within the United States or any possession of the United States to intimidate or coerce the United States government, the civilian population of the United States, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.

the homeland security teams have found that, surprise SURPRISE, "social dissent" starts in educational settings and leads to the outlandish undertakings of social criticism and protests (oh my!).
"Student records have, in recent years, been opened up to all manner of data mining for purposes of investigation, recruitment, or just all-purpose tracking. From 2001 to 2006, in an operation code-named "Project Strike Back," the Department of Education teamed up with the FBI to scour the records of the 14 million students who applied for federal financial aid each year. The objective? "To identify potential people of interest," explained an FBI spokesperson cryptically, especially those linked to "potential terrorist activity.""

yep...i've accepted that i'm on their damn lists, but sick of being quiet. If they applied those rules to their fascist foreign policy...they would have to lock themselves up!
But also let this be a reminder that everyone who was worth assassinating was an advocate of PEACE!!!
