Since her first role as a hit man's shrewd, resilient child-assistant in The Professional (1994), Portman has projected an uncommonly potent power. Unlike most child stars and ingenues, she has never seemed manipulated or duped. Now Portman has started her own production company, handsomecharlie films (named after her late dog, Charlie). And since she couldn't find sufficiently elegant footwear not made from animals, this winter, she launched her own vegan shoe line for Té Casan.

  • I love Natalie Portman. I love that she was discovered young, but also has the command to do things on her terms. She is extremely intelligent and is aware of events and crises that are happening in the world. I respect those actors who use their fame for a amazing causes (FINCA http://www.villagebanking.org/site/c.erKPI2PCIoE/b.2394... and for the greater good of the world. Hopefully we'll soon be seeing some of the films from her new production company!

  • I love Natalie Portman, especially in her "Professional" role.

    And I'm always looking for a good cruelty-free pair of kicks, but her shit is wholey unaffordable.
