Another reason why San Francisco is awesome.

Who started this war against 4-letter words?

Last spring 14-year-old McKay Hatch started a "No Cussing Club," at his middle school when he grew "tired of being barraged by four-letter words at school." There were 50 charter members at his middle school, and he has now carried the club to his first year in high school.

McKay says, "Cussing just makes a person seem really unintelligent,"..."If you get in the habit of talking like that it can backfire if you let it slip during something like a job interview."

The mayor was apparently down for the cause saying "Lack of civility can erode a community. It's one of the issues across America that affects even small towns."

Now there is no cussing for a week in S. Pasadena.

My thoughts are with yall during this tough time :)

  • I kind of feel like banning a word only empowers it. Aren't words "bad" just because we say they are? Luckily I live in real Pasadena, so I don't have to worry about it. ;)
