Ok, it's eight months before the election, so it's time for your election year fearmongering message courtesy of Big Brother.

Can you believe this shit? I swear the Bush admin will say anything to put more fear into the american public, and I am sure this is going to be a huge selling point for more BS laws that take away more rights. And congress is going to pass them....man welcome to the comig of 1984.

It is exactly the MO used that was explained by Al Gore in his book, The Assault On Reason... appealing to the emotional side of the brain rather than the side of the brain that reasons... Fear is the enemy of reason, but it is most surely the friend of the Fascist. Hopefully though, after eight years of this more and more people are wise to it.

yes, that's EXACTLY what Gore did by appealing to the emotional side of the brain, rather than the logical side.......... with An Unfortunate Truth....

    but you'll deny that... right?

    here's a fun quote from
    http://newsgroups.derkeiler.com/Archive/Sci/sci.research.careers/2006-08/msg00433.html

"Nature has no inclination to follow mans consensus.
Consensus is not even a useful tool for revealing nature.
    Consensus is very often wrong.
Consensus (when it is on our side!) gives us a false sense of security and
    comfort in our beliefs.
Consensus is what we teach students - because we must!
Consensus is how we run our technology because it is what we know.
Science is what we do to rise above consensus.
Consensus is a tool used to squelch scientific debate.
Concensus is what we think we know, science is what we use in an effort to
    break out of that ignorance.

Consensus convinces me of nothing other than that most people believe in the
    consensus ;-)"

Al Gore has not fearmongered regarding climate change. He has presented the facts as presented by thousands of scientists. Facts that we see playing out right now globally. There are no facts to back up the rhetoric spewed by Bush and his cronies who say vote Republican or you will die because they are full of s^*t.

    omg...
How can you be scared knowing the BEST military in the world is on the job to protect you dissident citizens. I mean cmon...Bush is an honest humanitarian dedicated to spreading liberty and justice for all. Al Queda are known "terrorists"...what does it matter if we armed and trained them? That was long ago...in a galaxy far far away.. We don't have an "industrial military complex"....we have a humanitarian relief organization that spreads joy and liberty to the poor of the world by promoting "peace".

conspiracy nuts are all the same...lmao
    muahahahahahaha....now back to sleep sheeple...

“To defeat al Qaeda, I will build a twenty-first-century military and twenty-first-century partnerships as strong as the anticommunist alliance that won the Cold War to stay on the offense everywhere from Djibouti to Kandahar.”
Test: Who said these words? Bush, Clinton, or Obama?
Obama. Now, doesn't he know the truth about Al Qaeda? If so, why isn't he telling the people that truth instead of doing the same fearmongering that they all do? How is that change?

"Al Gore has not fearmongered regarding climate change. He has presented the facts as presented by thousands of scientists. ..."

Jan... your needle is stuck... slap the side of the playback machine.... i've presented lots of evidence that consensus is not necessarily = truth and that lots of scientists don't agree, too, and all you do is repeat "Al Gore is telling the truth."

    example: http://www.boston.com/news/science/articles/2006/08/30/mits_inconvenient_scientist/

do you realize how much like a cult-litany that sounds????

no, didn't think so... sounds so much like the believers versus the atheists at Yahoo!Answers....

so sad, so funny at the same time.

ok, tell me again: i'm wrong because Al Says So.

    got it.
    thanks.
