Ashton Kutcher is at it again. But this time it's not the celebs he's punking. It's the relentless photogs. For the prankster's new show, he's staging unpredictable stunts starring celebrities that are sure to attract the Paparazzi and the media. He recently was successful in duping the celeb gossip sites and big media outlets with Paris Hilton and her 'spiritual guru'.

"Paris Hilton had an improbable dinner date in L.A. Saturday: a gray-haired, orange-robed "shaman" who blessed her and urged her to give a diamond necklace to a total stranger.

"He's really changed my life," Hilton told paparazzi from her car, adding she offered the necklace "because the greatest gift is to give."

Turns out, as some outlets later discovered, the "mystic" was an actor named Maxie Santillan Jr., who has appeared on CSI and My Name Is Earl. And though some accused Hilton of getting Punk'd, the joke's on them: The entire scene was staged."

Do you think this show will have as much success as Punk'd?

  • I'm pretty sure that people that get followed around by paparazzi will like it. So, like iono, maybe a handfull of Hollywoodians. . .

I think that the Paparazzi comes with the fame, but sometimes, they do cross the line, and they deserve for their cameras to be smashed or, in this case, punk'd.

Meh. Watevs, I haven't watched MTV or (not-music tv as I like to call it) In a long while. I don't really plan on starting.

  • HMMM. I don't think the concept of the show really works. The paps still get their story and their pics, and hence their money. Interesting though, how the pictures are quite hard to come by on the web now - eggs on face, anyone?

  • How about a show called, "Gullible's Travels"? Each week, 3 contestants build up cash awards for successfully convincing viewers that they believe everything they see and hear while treking the globe. The winner goes on to the following week. If any doubt or suspicion is shown, they lose part of the accumulated total to be determined by the viewer. If a player says, "Hey. Wait a minute. That's rediculous.", they are disqualified and have to pay their way home.

  • I think the concept is great, but somehow feel that it really won't capture the public the way Punk'ed did. However, if it airs on MTV, crap or not it will continue to air.
