Ex-hooker Annie Lobert shares her compelling story about how she went from selling her body as a prostitute in Las Vegas, to becoming a preacher. Her ministry "Hookers for Jesus" is a non-profit organization that promotes the word of God to ladies of the night in Las Vegas, NV. Annie and her associates hope to save sin city by bringing God to prostitutes, drug addicts, pimps, and others involved in the porn industry.

  • it's so good to hear how she's changed her life and how involved she is in changing the lives of other women.

  • I think this is quite a motivational story. The story should be cut down by about half the time right now, because though the story is great, it doesn't hold the interest for 10 minutes. Use the interview the whole story. As it stands, it doesn't come out until the 5 minute mark. That interview should hold your whole story. Can't wait to see this recut. Great story!

  • Awesome pod! I loved this story, very engaging and I already got a sense of the character just from her sermon, was that her singing in the beginning? inspiring story, and well shot.
  • Quite interesting and unusual. I would think that major tv networks would be interested in airing such a thing.

  • What a wonderful testimony, so radical really. What a drive she has to reach out to the women under oppression in "sin city." The darkness out there really makes you appreciate the light we have in Christ so much more. The length could be cut down a bit, condensed and perhaps more to the point. I know, you did so much filming, and it is hard to take out any of it. I am having similar problems with my project. This is really a dynamic piece though, greenlight for sure. Its amazing how I hear so many testimonies like this, just when we come to our end, there is the beginning of God. For real.

  • This is so moving. I know a lot of Christians who would have a problem with someone who chooses to meet with prostitutes, drug, dealers, and pimps, even if they do plan to talk to them about Jesus. But remember, as she said, those were the types of people Christ walked with and preached to, the people who needed him most. Remember the woman at the well and the number of people Jesus touched who were reviled by man, but loved by Him.

  • Andrea,

Just watched it with my journalist father, and very cool mom, and we all thought, it was engaging, uplifting, and very inspirational. I thought Annie, came off as very dedicated, committed, and extremely compassionate about what she is doing, and she looked great!!
I LOVED your camera work, VERY gritty and sincityish!!
