How vinyl records are made

But how do they make 'em glow in the dark? I like the ladies at the inspection station.

Makes me darned curious as to what the original laquer disc would sound like. Ultimate Analog? As one who has both digital and analog systems, I know that they each have their ups and downs. I'm of the opinion that analog recordings, due to soundwave transferal, are a more accurate representation of sound. There's an ambience or "presence" that digital can't quite capture. Digital offers a crisp cleanliness in the silent spots and uppermost registers. Just for fun, I've made digital and anolog unions of both technologies. In this case, I used "Meddle" by Pink Floyd. The final mixing of the combined vinyl and the compact disc created one of the most richly textured, broad sound spectrumed, discs I've ever heard. The only other time I was so wowed was by placing "mics" in front of my speakers for playback while simultaneously recording the same source, a vinyl copy of The Edgar Winter Group's "They Only Come Out At Night", on an in-line feed into a reel-to-reel. Once again, a deeper ambience was created.
Okay. I'm rambling on here. I just love this kinda stuff.
If it didn't make any sense...society is to blame.
