Very. Another example of greed over common sense.
-
Wow. Greed totally leads to ignorance.

If we could:
1) quit paying for people to sit at home and not work
2) quit paying farmers to not plant
3) quit giving non-taxpayers free money
4) quit fighting other people's wars
5) quit wasteful government spending
6) return to personal accountability where the government isn't expected to pick us up when we failwe would have plenty of money for alternative energy research. Bush is spending hundreds of billions on the war. Clinton and Obama want to spend hundreds of billions on government programs for everything you can imagine. They want to pay for people's houses. They want to cut taxes for people who barely work. They want to take money away from companies who employee thousands. With this kind of spending mentality, don't expect alternative energy sources anytime soon.
-
Under your model, alternative energy really should come from the private sector willyb. You should be consistent with your wishes for a small government.
-
Almost all research IS done in the private sector.
I was a little off-topic to begin with so I'll stop now! :)

crazy! why cant we leave they leave it alone and use there brains a little better and use the resources we have already to produce a safer recycled feul.
-
We should do what Hummer owners do and use babies as fuel.
I get it. Dig for oil in the arctic, and burn more fossil fuel. Global Warming will hasten and uncover more of the arctic, and eventually we'll all have to move on to the tiny islands that are left over.
And since everything will be water front property, it'll make it to expensive to live on earth, so we'll have to move to the crime ridden low-home value sun.
At least, now i'll get a tan.
