A couple of guys who know nothing about the art of films making wisecracks as though they do, I will see the movie
regardless of the minimal effort they put into opening their mouths and uttering pure shyte. -
Beyond the innovative visual artistry of gondry and wacky antics of jack black, "Be kind rewind" had a lot to offer. It was a call to DIY culture. We can all be a part of creating our own entertainment and yes, art will bring people together. And this did not just take place in "middle America," but in a rundown post-industrial town in Jersey, where gentrification is picking up speed and pushing the locals around. This movie is about taking control of our lives and communities, re-imagining the mundane and standing up for our right to do so.

I love when people who like the movie get pissed at the reviewers for not liking it. I don't think these guys claim to know anything about the "art of filmmaking". If it was about that, I don't think these reviews would be very entertaining. In fact, I like that I can come here and not hear some idiot who likes to hear himself talk, pipe on about the "art of filmmaking". Thanks for the reviews guys! I will say I loved the movie...movies are supposed to suspend reality and this did it for me. Though Jack Black's antics are getting a little old. But then again, what else is he good at?

I liked the reviews a lot and agree that the movie is actually a bit far fetched. Good job Current.

Agreed Mypeeperisshowing- there are enough reviews with artsy fartsy critics. I like it although I though Mos Def was pretty good in the film.

Hahahha- great review. I didn't even know what the hell this movie was before I saw this review. I will admit though, it looks interesting and I loved Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind.
Thought the reviews were great though- these dudes are funny.

Apart from the opening sequence killing my head [awful migrane in the morning] I thoroughly enjoyed it. Laughed rather a lot more than I have at any other comedy in the last few years, and *all* the characters are incredibly likable.
The camouflage bit at the start is superb.

Not surprised- Jack Black is very overrated

These reviews are always fun to see. These film isn't my cup of tea but I do like Danny Glover. The reviewers are a gas though! Great job mates.

A lot of people missed my point, these guys didn't like the movie because they had trouble suspending their disbelief, they hated the movie because the idea was too off the wall, I think that was the main appeal even in commercials. But I guess they're like the majority of movie-goers: Hey I like the actors, and the movie poster looks cool, let's go!

It's a movie, it's supposed to be far fetched.

This movie contains one great scene that should be appreciated. There is one shot that sweeps through a bunch of movies being sweded. It was an extremely technical task and Gondry pulled it off expertly. The movie also somehow made the way in which movies are made hilarious. I walked out of the theater knowing how few people would understand the movie. The ones who appreciate bucking the orthodoxy of film will appreciate this movie. Everyone involved in this movie seemed to want to be in it. It felt like a labor of love on all fronts, and as a movie goer, I appreciate that above all.

I liked this movie...Sad you didnt grasp the fact that Gondry was saying that everyone should try and be a part of something...Even if it sucks and has no money behind. Down with the corporate man!! Up with the New Line paying him for nothing.
