Goldfrapp, Editors, The Enemy, Fratellis and reggae legend Jimmy Cliff are among a new host of bands announced as playing this year's Glastonbury festival. Other acts playing the event, which takes place between 27th-29th of June, are Hot Chip, Leonard Cohen and headliners Jay-Z, the Verve and Kings of Leon.

Apparently Glasto tickets haven't flown off the shelf this year. I heard Eavis saying this morning that it's because Jay Z is headlining. "He's not Radiohead is he, know what I mean?" was the jist of it.

The tickets haven't gone on sale yet, just pre-registrations. I nearly forgot to do that as I'm not too fussed about going this year, for the first time in the seven or so years that I've been going.
Last year's poor weather might have something to do with it, plus the massive hassle in getting tickets now compared to other festivals. We're spoilt for choice now so Glastonbury isn't as appealing.
