Driggs, Idaho - where Ms. Wells was arrested - is a "suburb" of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She runs the Idaho Film and Television Institute which hosts a regional film festival called SPUDFEST.
It's called SPUDFEST because she got financing and sponsorship from the Idaho Potato Commission - a state agency with many responsibilities, including the promotion of Idaho Potatoes. The commission is funded by a tax levied on all Idaho-grown potatoes. It is currently set at ten cents for every 100 pounds of potatoes. The funds generated from this tax are used to advertise, promote and do research to expand the markets for Idaho grown Potatoes.
