During the annual international affairs budget hearing, members of Code Pink, held up blood colored hands and shouted "war criminal". They sat quietly for a large portion of the meeting while only holding up their bloody hands. Republicans objected to their presence, but Democratic Chairwoman Rep. Nita Lowey said, "We’re here in the United States of America. And as long as they don’t disrupt this proceeding and as long as they’re silent, they will be welcome.”

Rice largely ignored the pro-peace demonstrators.

  • Great job protesters.
  • Well deserved. She can lie looking right at your eyes (or the camera). But hold on, now she's trying to set peace between Israel and Palestine. What's moving her to do so? There's no Nobel price for bad Rice.

    My support for the protesters!!!

  • she is an honest humanitarian and advocate of peace that carries the torch of liberty to shine the light of corporatocracy into the tired hungry eyes of the poor, less fortunate of the world. The blood on the hands of those protesters isn't blood of war crime victims but the blood of global humanitarian relief operation casualties. If you doubt the honesty and compassion of Condoleeza Rice then I am afraid you are just a "racist" and quite possibly a "terrorist".

but i do raise one Iranian legal question...
if condoleeza was traveling with men other than her family or husband...could they legally stone her for us? please....

  • Aint that Great ...Bless all there sweet protesting heart's...
  • It's debatable whether or not she is a war criminal, but shes on the winning side so she'll never have to answer for what she's done... Besides the fact that the "people" of America have no power even if they are peeed off...

  • The people of the United States do have power, they have just forgotten what it is. It is the power of the mob, and I don't mean Italian gangsters. What has essentially happened is role reversal. The government should be fearful of and answer to the people. Despite the idea that the United States is a "civilized" country, a mild revolution could occur in the next three or four decades if the government becomes more controlling.

  • she is all those things oki...and what else? someone that will walk away with a big fat pension because our corporatocracy was bought and paid for long before her. She will drift into obscurement with all of her money after this administration ends and people will forget as they always do. here in the United States of Amnesia...Consumericans forget pretty easy if you feed em some junk food and beer.

  • Heh, that reminds me of something I heard somewhere.

"One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter."

Anywho, what makes you think that the people would need military leaders on their side to overthrow the government if they so desired? Isn't most of the military might out of the country fighting a war on terror that has been halted by the needless occupation of another country?
