I think this is fine. I'm not gay. But think about it:
loose dog=potential danger
sex=disturbing-ness
gay sex=really disturbing-ness
Also this is an equality issue. If straight sex is okay(I'm assuming), then why not gay sex? Unless you start comparing homosexuals to dogs, there is no discrimination against the dogs.

Not all people grow up with your perceptions of life and sex. Just because all people don't subscribe to the US outlook on sex doesn't mean they are perverse. Not all countries try to make sex something to be ashamed of.

Etosha, Where one grows up does not matter. There is decency and indecency. There is perversion and there is normal. Sex is not something we are ashamed of but we realize it is a private matter not something that is to be splattered like cheap trash. Sex is what is used to create life it is to be held as sacred not exploited as of no value. Gays have perverted the meaning of sex for themselves. Something of which they will pay a price for. This "modern" thinking that there are no ramifications because of a disgraceful act is self delusional thinking. You should study your history and find out that depravity no matter how it is wrapped always works toward the detriment of society and human civilization whole world powers have fallen because of it and were destroyed because of it. learn from HISTORY!

Gays are nothing more than rebels to humanity. They work to destroy the fabric of families the creation process. They are anti humanity, this is very true. No matter how nice they try to come off they are working against humanity by their actions. Imagine if all dogs became dogosexual males with males, female with female, would we not run out of dogs in time? No one would accept that. because we like dogs and we want them around continuously, so why are people accepting a lifestyle that no longer promotes the continuation of humanity? You have to ask yourself this question.

Hey because I do not approve of that lifestyle and I say it publicly does not mean I am intolerant it means I stand for humanity. Believe me I am not afraid of any homo either. They rather are afraid of people like me who does not move with the fades of the world.

Kingdaver, What about committed homosexual couples who adopt children who have been discarded by straight parents? What about homosexuals who have children themselves? What about heterosexual people who never marry or have children but have plenty of sex? Are they against humanity? Are you a parent? What are you doing to further humanity? I'm very curious to know more about your views and where you learned them.

What etosha said is true: there are over 6 billion people on this planet, and we are already grossly overpopulated. If things go on at the current rate, it is quite probable that there will be a tidal wave of disasters some large number of decades from now, from famine to disease to crumbling societies - a veritable apocalypse...all because of hetrosexuals (Nothing against hetros; some of my best friends are breeders).
I'm not saying everyone needs to "go gay," but some sort of breeding regulation needs to be enacted.
That said, your "anti-humanity" argument holds very little water. If you seriously think that is what gay people are all about, then I'd say you don't know very many gay people, if any. They aren't "all about" anything. They're people.
How many of your views are spawned from broad assumptions based on someone else's version of religious text, and/or what someone else told you?

As to the article (I'm assuming hetro sex in public is legal as well), whooptie do. It's their country, their society. If you don't like it, don't move there.
Personally, I view sex as a personal thing between two people who are intimate friends/lovers/spouses, and I wouldn't be caught dead screwing in a park.
But, if it's your thing, go for it; we only live once.

Oh man .... why is Amsterdam " cool " ? because the city gov't is willing to try out this kind of policy . Isn't the point of having sex in public the excitement of possibly getting caught? Maybe this is a backwards law, in letting people have sex in public, maybe they'll stop because it won't be as fun? Or maybe less people will go there because it will become more crowded in that particular area? I'm not sure, but it seems very strange. I, for one, would avoid that part at night because I've already caught homosexuals having sex in public before(I'm not into that, haha).

As for the anti-humanity comments, being gay is not a choice, and therefore there are many gay people who would love to have children, but unfortunately, cannot. We cannot change who we are and will not live by ancient biblical rules. Being gay is not easy. How often do we have to deal with harrassment comments from homophobic senators, news of gaybashed teens being murdered, rumors of a gay agenda, middle eastern gays being executed, being blamed for certain diseases, not having the legal right to marry? And the list goes on.

We are human. All we want is to be treated like everyone else and apparently that is too much to ask, but we will fight until that day comes.

Having worked in a public park I am not for this.

Maybe the Dutch should check with the inhabitants of Sodom over at one end of the Dead sea. Sorry, forgot they can't the city even now as it is rediscovered is covered and surrounded by sulphur balls and glass shards that were created from the great heat the brimstone put off when it destroyed the name sake of sodomy. This is because in the Netherlands there is a discussion about the intolerants from the (moslim)youth and agression against gays.The gay organisitions react to go to court and want have the right to meed eachother on public places that justis have closed for this kind of meeting with the argument they are discriminate by the law wenn they close the specific places for gay meetings special.It,s a reaction on a discussion about the equal rights they have in the Netherlands(by the gay organisations) against the intolerants.Myself find this not the best way to claim you rights and it is also not allowed to straight people.This is not only in Amsterdam but all over the Netherlands

Its a common spot for gay intercourse after hours. Don't ask me why. I worked in a park for a year and they 'cruised' every day in our parking lot. Public indecency is a crime so when the park rangers patroled at night they often found people engaging in intercouse straight gay and otherwise inclined. Errr...I have heard some rather unsavory stories I won't repeat. So I am not for legalizing those action around kids. Especialy playgrounds designed essentialy only for children.

For the record Gay sex is not allowed (or other sex) in the Netherlands in a public park,building and so on .Thats what the newspaper and others want to believe but thats not a issue.Thats a criminel act for straight and gay.

This is one of them stories picked up on by the right wing press and homophobic types to try to roll back decades of advancement for gay people.

Most gay people dont have sex in parks - the vast majority in fact. Just like most straight people arent small minded bigots like some people who's daft oppinions have been aired here.
