A new data security row has hit the Ministry of Defence after it emerged that an "extraordinary" 11,000 military ID cards have been lost or stolen in the past two years.

That's quite a lot of ID cards...
It's quite worrying that so many have gone 'missing or been stolen,' you'd think that with the amount of criticism the UK government has come under for losing personal data, that the MOD could hold it together. -
When will the government stop losing things? Hopefully there will be an en masse losing of car keys and no-one will show up to parliament...
That's not going to happen is it?-

This is why I'm against I.D cards in the UK. The government seem incapable of even the simplest of technology-type-stuff.
