  • this pod is well put together & super relevant...its rough out here for independent artists [being one i definitely know all about it].
i'd like 2 see more pods like this on air. its cool for pods 2 address the nuisances of artists' issues while simultaneously rectifying them by raising awareness by being online & on t.v.

  • Really great pod, first and foremost you managed to immediately set the stage within the first 30 seconds, and hooked the viewer into the issue. You did a great job of progressing through interview subjects (who were expertly chosen from the indie rap ranks) and immediately established their perspective on the issue.

Formally, your composition and editing were spot on, though you had some awkward shots including a DVX. Sound worked quite well, and I'm impressed that you secured releases for the concert audio. Overall, great job and great pod, keep up the good work.

  • A very well made pod and it shows how difficult the traditional methods of getting exposure are so they no longer are the most effective, I have seen new and improved ways of getting indie music to the audience at

  • Interesting topic. I think a lot of people are curious about the music business but don't know a lot about how it works or how to find out. You broke it down really well through interviews with the artists and PR woman and with graphics. The music helped to drive it along and I like the variety. The brick wall backdrop for the graphics wasn't my favorite and the text was a little small. I liked that you mixed up your camera shots, especially for the in-studio radio stuff, but some of them were a little too shaky at times. I liked it though.

  • It is true it is hard for a independent artist to get his name out there and stick to his own than rather conform to an industry image i personally like indie artist they come with something different and new never been heard and its their own so this was a really good informative pod

  • I liked this. It is hard for anything in general to make print. Lucky for me Spin is my bff.
  • As a publicist, that is my dream job... Thanks for letting me know there are still PR women out there helping the music scene and don't have to sell out to survive.

  • As a burgeoning art show that features up-and-coming musicians and artists, let me say THANK YOU to Ballin PR and everyone behind it for essentially pursuing artistic freedom in the marketplace. Independent artists don't stand a chance unless people like Ballin continue to "crack the code of modern music promotion". Great video!

  • Interesting look at the world of underground indie music, I never knew how the radio play worked! I would love to see more on Ballin PR's upcoming projects and any other artists they deal with personally.

PS - its nice to see the actual faces of the musicians instead of their secretaries or entourage ... the industry is too Hollywood!
  • Independent artist need to see this because it teaches it's informative.
