Why Spitzer Was Exposed

While New York Governor Eliot Spitzer was paying an ‘escort’ $4,300 in a hotel room in Washington, just down the road, George Bush’s new Federal Reserve Board Chairman, Ben Bernanke, was secretly handing over $200 billion in a tryst with mortgage bank industry speculators.

Both acts were wanton, wicked and lewd. But there’s a BIG difference. The Governor was using his own checkbook. Bush’s man Bernanke was using ours.

  • Spitzer...meh...perhaps wanton (who knows what his relationship is about really). Maybe lewd as probably only the call girls could/may attest (maybe his wife actually thanks them for sparing her! lol) but wickedness "in high places" *that's* definitely the pervue of Bush and his untouchables...and they're much more deserving of our unsavory attention im-maybe-nsho...

I barely heard about that mortgage banking deal yesterday. I was told that the banks were essentially bailing themselves out with taxpayer money. Sweet LEWD deal for them...hardly wanton probably though as much as insolently cold and "calculating"...those bassturdz are responsible for a LOT more grief in the hour they acted than Spitzer could probably muster in month of call girls!!!

  • I knew the minute I heard about his problems that he had to have either stepped on some important toes or was about to. There are too many of our big guys in government into too many things that never get reported for this to be out without a big important reason. The dummy was about to expose the crooked bankers. This is the reason Wall Street applauded when they got the news. If you aren't worried about that you should be.
  • wow...it never occurred to me, but I don't doubt that could very well be the damn truth of it! they may have let him enjoy his "candy" until the right time as it was useful for them to hang him on it... probably more true than we even know...

    insightful!!! =)

  • echoz hit the nail on the head. spitzer had to go so that the billionaires who milked the average citizen during the mortgage boom could milk them again after the fall. anyone find it unusual that a man who exposed corruption was introduced to a high-end escort service? there is a fixer in the mix...

that being said spitzer is a self-righteous creep lest anyone think i'm defending him.

  • echoz, Why don't people ever blame you when I say something that makes them mad? %D
  • lol =D I actually might like taking some of that credit from you Marilynn' but y'know while the rest of 'em think "the heat in the kitchen" means they better "get out!" I say..."if there's no heat in the kitchen, the rest of us don't EAT!" =P ...it's such hard work for the mass mindless to think I know, much less care, but you've got the rest of 'us" eh? ;)

  • uhhh...wha??? ...remember when sometimes you'd be on the phone and someone else's conversation would "bleed" through enough to confuse you about what conversation you were actually having in the first place =P ...this might be one of those moments. lol

  • this is all just like a bad action movie:
whenever there is a plot hole (billion $ bail-out) you throw in an explosion (spitzer).

textbook move. way to go bushy bush.

  • phillyphil, Right on, I missed that part. I used to really like you Philly. Now I'm not so sure, you made me feel dumb.
