"The Democratic plan would allow telecommunications companies to be sued for their role in the administration's much-disputed warrantless surveillance program .
The bill now goes to the Senate, but both the Senate and President Bush have made it clear they will not support the bill without the immunity provision."
We need more Democrats in office, people! Obama or Clinton, let's get this thing moving!

yeah screw the republicans, save the ones they won't even allow to run... and I think we can forget about Low-Blows Geraldo Clinton...trying to manipulate voters with cheap titty twisting bs accusations that Obama's just an "affirmative action" candidate. The only thing very clearly *affirmative* is that they're a bunch of calculating cold-blooded biotches slithering in the grass. (They should have just run on the truer merits of their campaign! But now we see their posing and insincerity for the lack of character they really are and not what they want us to believe. She lost the presidency for sure with that crap card she played!)
*sigh* and that clicking on your phone...the "Agents" will eventually come for you Matrix-style. Watch your a$$z! Kiss 'em even, cuz you're about to lose 'em with some "FEMA" camp or get 'em shot off with INFRAGARD probably sooner than later if the neo-cons get their way... (it's probably high time for some people to do some googling or a few quicker searches right here on current!) Sadly, it's no joke and nothing to sneeze at the bs that's playing out in the "land of the free...home of the brave" =( =( =( -
Since this post just follow the same format of "Cosmo" posting, let me make it clear here that, "If is there anyone out there that confusedly think I am for spying or for the use of surveillance towards innocent people got their minds mixed-up and I want to clear that here and say that I do not agree with it."
However we can not deny that this issue have in reality two sides:
1. The ones that are violating our rights and needs to be arrested. And...
2. The ones that are innocent and therefore have nothing to fear about it.
Our society is not doing very good today. Just take a trip to your local Police Department first and read the statistics of criminal actions happening around your neighborhood. There are all kind of personalities doing very hairy things out there that end up to cost us citizens our precious time and even our lives.
Therefore be wise with your comments and try not to protect the criminals instead. Thank you! -
if there "ARE" anyone? "confusedly"? =D "this issue HAVE..." ? "...nothing to fear about..."??? oh stopnoise...I *do* humbly pity you =( it's your government that's breaking the laws... who's going to hold them accountable?
you're so right about society being not so good, but there are many causes AND solutions that do NOT entail UNLAWFUL domestic spying on Americans with impunity. Remember, we are NOT the terrorists, and on your number one point...spying without a legitimate warrant IS indeed a violation of our rights. On the legitimate presumption of innocence that we all enjoy, there are also other equally legitimate concerns American share, like their right to privacy. Most of us are probably too complacent to really know this and only would/will when it's completely gone...even you stopnoise. That's why some of us, myself included, are damn pissed off the government feels it can break EXISTING laws and do whatever it wants! that's bs. if you're a law abiding citizen, you have the right to expect that your government should respect the same laws it holds you accountable to. If, in reality, you were to spy on your whole neighborhood just because you wanted to make sure no one was doing wrong, setting wiretaps, checking e-mails, placing bugs, guess what... your government would throw YOU in jail. Do you see any hypocrisy? I do. The criminals are your government that you'd presume innocent while presuming the rest of us guilty!
The U.S. gov't has more people incarcerated than any nation in the world. could that also be because we're so uptight about everything maybe, like feeling the need we have to spy on ourselves? it's sickening the lengths some people are willing to go... it's not right stopnoise. You shouldn't try to defend it. -

"Echoz", -Who is defending what?
You read it! I do not know what you are talking about now. Who do have the time to go out there setting up all this stuff you are talking about?
First you did "spoofed" with very important noise issues happening in the city thus protecting the ones that are daily violating our rights,
then you went ahead and throwed all your stereotype misconceptions about noise and living in the City,
now you are saying something that I never said before.
Hey good going, what's next?
I know and recognize that sometimes my typographic mistakes do come short of reading, I do admit that. However to this point they are minimal in comparison to your lack of understanding on the real issue of privacy. -
lol =D are you really that retarded? forget it, eh? I'm sorry even common sense is lost on you. it should be apparent to the majority of readers...

echoz:
Well I just have this G-O-D's given gift to spot an abuser when I see one. -
I can be okay with someone else listening because it's only to make sure I'm not connected to terrorism?
Phew! Had me worried there. -
=D nice, huntre, hehehe
