That girl who said she didn't know who Steve Jobs was---hilarious. She and some of the others were so stereotypical. It happens at any school, including Northwestern University. I like nerds just the way they are!

I liked this because it started a dialogue. Most stereotypes come from reality. Its not about breaking stereotypes or reinforcing them. Its about people coming together. And how nice is that now those boys look just as delicious as they are intelligent. ROCK ON! I also thought the frohawk makeover was really cute!

Really fun piece, but as a Canadian I'm also quite disturbed!! I mean, I can imagine the archetypal NERDS vs SORORITY BIMBOS battle being a staple of high school life, but in college?? Grow up, kiddies! And knowing what a LAN is? Wow, you must still be patting yourself on the back for that one, ''sorority girl''. As I said, a great, disconcerting pod!!

Nice work, guys. So weird that we've got two pieces running on Current at the same time by people from our little town in Idaho. Too bad the sorority girls weren't hotter/more interesting - the nerds were way more compelling. Probably showing my bias here, as a nerd.

Pretty damn interesting. The fact that the breakdown of stereotypes actually happened was pretty awesome. Hopefully that money goes to some good use!

I keep saying that one day the nerds shall inherit the Earth. Now we have the girls, all we need is the power! Just kidding, this pod is great. Being a bit of a nerd myself, I'm glad to see that other groups are reaching out to my sunlight deprived brethren.

A cute pod that hits all the right spot. It's warm, it's fuzzy, and it's light-hearted. Strangely, the nerds refer to themselves as nerds. I'll have to agree with Professor Hauser that the event might just reinforce the stereotypes, rather than challenge it.

I've always thought brains and personality were much more attractive than a pretty face or hot body. How can you connect with someone if you can't even have a somewhat stimulating conversation with them? I must say that many people tend to stay in their own circles and rarely branch out. It was good to see that these two groups came together to promote a minority-females in computer sciences.

i really liked this one. the idea behind it is really significant. it exposes a stereotype in an environment that is easy to relate to. all of the characters are very down to earth and fun. i like the interaction and character movement throughout the piece. it really shows a progression and a story line.

That was cute. Hopefully their efforts aren't in vain. Its nice to see people of different stereotypes interacting so well though.
It was funny how impressed one of the guys looked when the girl said she new what LAN stood for.

I think its great that if nothing else, these people are helping tear down the walls and stigmas of both parties. Perhaps one day the hard to get girl and guy with no chance can see past each others outward projections and see each other for who they are. However small a step this may be, should we follow their example this could be a giant step forward for our society.
