Yousee, the only difference between the Republicans and the Democrats is that the Republicans borrow and spend then the Democrats have to tax you and pay it back. Anyway you look at it we are being screwed and will continue to be screwed untill we get off our couches and take to the streets.

None of those taxes would affect me outside of the gas tax and I wouldn't mind having medical care considering I have an abscessed tooth right now that I cant afford to get pulled since it would cost at least $200 and would shortchange me for rent next month.

Clearly rabidlemur has failed to learn about the 100% failure rate of socialism. Did you not see the story on how tens of thousands of UK residents have been pulling their own teeth because the wait to see a dentist is so long. Did you know the wait time in the US for mammogram is 2 days, in CA it's 2 yrs. Do you not know the reason most wealthy CA and UK residents come here for serious medical treatment. I am a father of 4 and we have NEVER had insurance. GOD save us from selfish short sighted people like you and the slime that you would elect who accrue power by pandering to your ignorance and selfishness. Any fool could go to a supermarket and offer to carry old peoples bags to their cars and clear $200 in a few hours. How could you not find 1000 ways to get $200??? BTW in CA the very lowest level salaries are taxed at nearly 50% AND every single person pays a monthly medical charge AND aprox $90 per doctor visit. Sound better to you??? Well it didn't start that way - but now it's their #1 budget item (as it is in every socialist nation) and they are looking for ways to cut people off of care like if you weigh too much.
A gov't that is powerful enough to give you everything will soon take everything you have from you. They always do.

I am self employed and work for a charity that has no money to pay me. I could get a higher paying job but we homeschool our kids and they are top ranked national athletes who have to travel a lot.

And just in case you have never taken any history courses; It is not now, nor has it ever been the countries responsibility to take care of it's citizens.

This is not a secret! Read a little! Charities feed people for $3 to $5 a meal, but every time the government (on any level) tries it they spend $25 to $45..and sometime double that! And by the way, you might want to read a bit about how we Americans are spending billions to support CA socialized medicine. Yep that is right. The liberals have allowed CA to put sever limits on the cost of medicine (that's why some of us go up there to buy meds) and who do you think makes up the billions in short falls for the drug companies? WE DO! And what happens if the gov't demands they lower their prices to US. Well the very same thing that happened in the EU drug research grinds almost to a halt...no new drugs. much less testing...many more deaths do to poor testing. . . . It is your right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It is not the government job to help. And if they do you and your kids and everyone else's will suffer. Every scientist that tried to tell the truth was ignored by the media. Evey scientific paper that came out proving it was a hoax was ignored. Finally 60 Minutes (usually a 100% liberal show) had a segment entitled The Acid Rain Hoax...POW it was as if the spigot had been turned off. There was essentially never another story about it. Now for 10 years or so the media has been lying it's ass off about global warming. Scientists from all over the world, NASA, and out top universities have been writing articles and giving absolute proof that it is; minor, normal, and NOT caused by man, yet the vast majority of folks have bought into it. Hitler had experts in brainwashing working for him. They said if you tell a big lie often enough everyone will believe it. 95% of folks fell for
Acid Rain, a lot less for global warming (due to the internet) but a huge number think socialized medicine is a good idea. Why? Because who is telling people the truth? No one! Not one major media source is telling the truth about how bad it is. If you want the truth you have to do some work for it.

No mention that although none are completely perfect, MORE objectively, some definitely ARE better than others--better than even U.S. healthcare which is increasingly, extremely cost prohibitive to the majority of Americans! And Mitch, no need to be such an insolent presumptuous prik...when Americans have to decide on paying rent, or paying the exhorbitant costs of healthcare, even $200 may as well be $2M in many cases, and Americans go without what they really need!!! Not many have the readies for those kinds of costs in this day and age, and even want of as "little" as $200 can literally break families today!! That's no shit! And this is the rage and the reality though you may be too blind in your own pride to see it...the middle class in America is indeed being assaulted by the upper class and is suffering while the ones who can make a difference do nothing!!)

No mention either that even our Canadian neighbors usually won't even risk the extreme expense of receiving care as it now exists here in the U.S., choosing rather to make the long trip to receive the care they trust back home in Canada.

No mention that doctors in the U.S. no longer even honor their hypocratic oaths because the bitchez allow the hospitals they work for to demand CASH up front before you can even see a doctor for care. I have 3 companies I have started but none are raging success so I think one could say I have "real" jobs.even though they don't make us wealthy.

I am probably much more familiar with the state of the poor today than you are. Our state, county, and local police have brought hundreds of individuals and families to us for help. We are the only ministries in our area that would take in these indigents. We fed them our food...nothing that any govt provided.

They are all 'A' students and accomplished musicians but they want to represent the USA. My wife and I give up a lot to help them...but we are justifiably proud of them. My 2nd daughter was on the US team for the PanAm games 2 years back and my youngest son was on it last year. Enough of that we both know you were just being sleazy with no real reason other than hatefulness.
I don't know where you live but I don't know a single doctor with a yacht. Some have 2 homes but that's about it. And yes they do charge a lot. Know why?
For the same reason the number of pediatricians has fallen 80 to 90% in some states; insurance costs.

Lawyers sue doctors for enormous sums and insurance companies charge incredible amounts to insure the docs. But there is not going to be any tort reform because the congress is full of lawyers.
And greedy slime think they deserve millions every time anyone dies from anything. If a doctor operates drunk he should go to jail for manslaughter. right now 2 thirds of every doctor bill is for insurance and tests that they run that are not needed for any reason other than to be able to say in court "yes we ran that test too". You see selfishness and greed makes everyone suffer.
The reason we pay so much now for meds is the selfishness of their failing system. And the selfishness of the lawyers and clients drives costs to the moon.
This is exactly how and why socialized medicine cost more and more every single year. bankrupting the economies fo the nations who do it.
