Bill Richardson, the nation's only Hispanic governor, threw his strong support behind Obama for president Friday, one of the most coveted endorsements in the race for the Democratic nomination. As part of his endorsement statement, the New Mexico governor claimed that Obama confirmed his leadership abilities this week with his speech about race.
Photographs and the video of Richardson's speech are included.

lmao =D that's *really* funny! =D =D =D thanks for posting that one, lfm!
honestly I'm not a big fan of Richardson, but to his credit, even he has complained about the farce (lack) of "national security" on the border, particularly as applies to illegals and/or drug smuggling I believe. (I don't think even Bill Richardson believes the "terrorist" bs we keep hearing from Republicans either. We really have "nothing to fear but fear itself!") but I hate to be overly critical of bill as when simply, I'd much rather see Edwards as VP. I think Edwards honestly gives a damn. I don't think Richardson will lose much sleep over or even act in the genuine interest of most middle class Americans the way I believe Mr. Edwards certainly will given the chance. Edwards seems to be the real deal.
All Richardson's really done for NM is further lower the legal acohol limit to .06 and with that, don't you even wear any perfume, and you better give up that Brutt aftershave, cuz here in NM, you'll to jail for it! That's how Richardson runs his governorship (when he's around), looking "good" at other people's hard-working expense.... If it's not already obvious, I'm not at all confident he's respectfully served the needs of his fellow New Mexicans particularly well, how much less the rest of America?
And further, if I were Obama, I'd be a lil concerned to give this "equal opportunity" candidacy thing any leverage with a vp candidate that just isn't as good as Edwards!!! Making that mistake he might fail before he's even begun! *shrug* ...my 50 cents... =D
