We've got plenty of data as a species, we've been researching things for hundreds of years, meticulously recording our findings in tables and graphs. Unfortunately it's not very interesting or illuminating to look at a table of hard data, but Hans Rosling has changed all that.
His software adds life to data that seemed benign and boring for generations, his enthusiasm for his work could probably make watching paint dry interesting but thankfully he directs his attention to debunking popular myths about the developing world.

Among other things, I'm hearing from him that many of us out-think ourselves on too many levels when it comes to absorbing and analyzing new data. "Too much information, running through my brain.", as Sting once sang. We're so bogged down by details, we can, all too easily, miss the bigger picture.
He's one sharp "cookie", that man. -
The website where you can play around with the very same software Hans used. You find some interesting correlations sometimes.
