The Chinese prime minister needs a long hard look in the mirror.
God bless the Dalai lama. -
I do believe we need to let the Chinese Government know how much we want Tibet to be returned to the Tibetan people by Boycotting all Chinese made goods. From now on, when I go to a store, if it say's made in China, I will no longer purchase these goods. Until there is a change. Anyone want to join me?
-
good luck boycotting Chinese made goods, guess you'll have to stop buying EVERYTHING!! and White people need to shut up about Tibet, look at what they have done (colonialization of ALL OF THE WORLD SINCE 1492), so who are they to judge other peoples.ANd why just Tibet, why not free Hong Kong, Taiwan, East Turkistan, and Mongolia. Oh , thats right, white people dont know about Hong Kong, Taiwan, East Turkistan, and Mongolia.. THey just know what those electronic boxes tell them, just shut up.........and FREE TIBET!!!

Maybe the US and EU countries need to go as far as boycott the olympics in order to take a MORAL (and not just economic) stand in the world!
-
I really believe that the Beijing Olympics this summer is going to turn out to be a huge mistake, and I wouldn't be surprised if we get another Munich.
It's not just Tibet, China's gotten a really bad reputation by way of their fur industry (correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's China), apparently, the Chinese government has, in the past, taken people's pets away to be used for the fur industry.
And then there's Teianeman Square, where they openned fire and killed loads of protestors.
China is also known for heavily cencoring parts of the internet that may have content that disagrees with the offical Chinese viewpoint.
All in all, the Chinese government haven't really built the best reputation for thier country. -
I don't understand why we are talking about this issue. We can not as a whole run the world. Each and everyone of us run our household different so who are we to talk about how a president or what ever is running a particular country tell them how it should be done. If this continue on we will be at war forever.
Slavery was stopped in this country because we as a people got tired of the abuse to others. We did not make it a world wide event although it was reported world wide.
Let us mine our own business. All of the killings we have over here in the states. Kids killing eachother, their parents, and innocent people. This country is out of control and we need to stop this favoritism on certain issues. Like imprisoned people for lying. Hell, each president and congressman has lied doing their campaign. None of the things they said they were going to do is done. Then we let foreigners come over and run for government offices but won't allow a born american the chance to prove themselves. Then we have all of these stings to bring down our government officials. Something that should have been disclosed before they were elected.
Good luck with this boycott.-

The funny thing is that the Chinese government wants to choose who is going to be (or needs to be ) the next Dalai lama. And Banchin lama ,another respected leader among Tibetans, should be also "their" man, according the will of Chinese government. It won't accept the successors of those two leaders if they are chosen by Tibetans themselves. Chinese have already killed or if not, are keeping the Banchin lama ,chosen from Tibetans, in prison somewhere and waiting to declare "own man".
That is what makes Tibetans upset. They are right: no religious freedom.
Independence for Tibet is another issue and China shouldn't claim for Tibet. Historically, Tibet was separate region, occupied later by Mongols who ruled in China and also came one time under Manchu rule and invaded by Britain. Lastly occupied by China.
Tibetans were having really hard times in their history and their desire becoming independent is fully understandable. They deserve it.
