Robert F Kennedy was fatally shot at 12:16am on June the 5th in 1968 whilst he was at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. He died 25 hours later in the Good Samaritan hotel from his injuries.

The assassination has always been attributed to a Palestinian man by the name of Sirhan Sirhan, who in his Diary wrote of his anger over the Senator's support for Israel during and after the Six-Day War.

But new evidence, aired on an episode of Newsnight last year, and brought to the attention of "the internets" this morning seems to suggest that the CIA may have played a role. The report is the result of a three-year investigation by filmmaker Shane O'Sullivan. He reveals new video and photographs showing three senior CIA operatives at the hotel. Check the link for the full report on Shane O'Sullivans new evidence.
