Ask anyone in Greenock about Catman and youll either get a laugh or a deadly serious answer. Supposedly a feral Wildman living like a cat in the dark alleyways and tunnels of Greenock, this documentary examines the local stories and asks Catman, reality or local myth?

I'm beginning to meet more Catman witnesses, some who have more footage and have offered to film him. Maybe a follow up is in order...or maybe he should be left alone.

i think you have some really nice shots in this pod. i especially like the one of the brick floor...but i have to say that i lost interest in the whole notion of catman, is he real or mythical? maybe because the narrative didn't advance throughout the pod, beyond asking the question...still, i admire your curiosity and camera skills!

I thought this pod did more than ask questions. I think the focus shifted from can he find cat man to why is everyone so defensive of cat man if there is no cat man. And when he had people getting that upset about him asking questions I think my interest grew, and I felt like in my mind cat man went from strange cell phone video character to more of a hunch back of notre dame type character.
It would have been nice to find cat man, but the possibility of a community coverup was just as interesting.-

I don't think finding Catman is crucial to the story. Sure, it would have been incredible to see him, but what is perhaps more fascinating is the local legend that surrounds him -- how a whole community can have such deep feelings about someone/something they don't even know really exists. It's Catman's bizarre character and the community's obsession with him/her that keep this story incredibly interesting. Great production value all the way around.
