You are not entering the U.S. in that hat, sir (And not even Current TV)

"I was going to America to do a very American thing, promote my book"
British artist, writer and self-styled dandy was turned away by US immigration recently after arriving in New York to promote his book. He once crucified himself for his art, had it filmed by Sarah Lucas to a soundtrack by Gavin Rosedale and then he promptly fell off the cross and ripped his hands along the way. He swam with great white sharks, he's been a gangster¹s toyboy and wasted £100,000 on prostitutes of every description. Now he has written a memoir about his drugging and whoring and clashed with US homeland security for being a dangerous undesirable.

A weird individual, yes, but the U.S. customs should not have the power to deny someone access to the United States on purely the grounds that they did not agree with his/her moral views.

This is hilarious... and it has the makings of a brilliant documentary. This guy Sebastian Horsley is bloody weird, but very entertaining. He should have his own TV show

Great work, quick turnaround on this breaking news story.
A few notes: I wanted a little more background on who exactly this character is, what books he's written, why we should care about him etc. this can be done simply through a few text cards at the beginning. It could also be a wee bit shorter, but for a first cut it's fantastic!-

Interesting guy, but I must say that when going through customs you don't mock the immigration people. If I was going into another country and admitted to being a drug loving, prostitute screwing, jackass. They probably wouldn't let me in. Everyone should be welcome in the US but just like all of us living here you have to play the game to a certain point. If you're a drug loving, prostitute screwing jackass, DON'T TELL THE PEOPLE IN UNIFORM.

..a brilliant portrait of the character!

how did you find this guy? he's ridiculous. i find myself annoyed when we cut to something that is not him. i think this whole pod could just be him talking about the stuff he's done. oh and also the audio needs mixed. but i think thats been said already. anyway, nice work.
-
Well, the guy is well loopy, but GL it anyways because pod is concerned with a serious topic in a very amusing way - a lot more people have been turned away when wanting to enter the US, like journalists being critical about US foreign policy and activists and people who are of Middle Eastern decent.
Pity pod is so unpolitical though!
