Great... it seems that eating just one sausage or three rashers of bacon a day increases the risk of developing a nasty case of bowel cancer by a fifth.
The World Charity Research Fund reports that just 50g of processed meats such as ham, bacon, pastrami, salami, hot dogs and processed sausages daily increase the risk of getting the disease by 20%.
How can such tastiness be so wrong?

Doesn't that mean just five breakfast's would guarantee bowel cancer?

Seems like most things that I love will eventually kill me. Sometimes I think it's a bit of fear mongering. What about those people you hear about who eat steak and bacon and smoke all their lives and live to be 100? I do think we should at least try to be healthy.
Here's a list of the 5 worst offenders. Shame it's also a list of some of the most popular things to feed your kids. -
Maybe it's a good time to think about going vegetarian? Or at least increasing the number of meals you ditch the meat?
-
I'm fed up with being dictated to. When and where you can smoke (not that I do) what you can and can't eat. I'll do what ever I want (within reason) whenever I want and eat what I want thank you and I don't care what anyone says.

Clearly processed meats should only be made available to over 18's. The processed meats should also be kept behind a counter, and you have to show a license to buy them.
Maybe the processed meats tax could be raised? Or the NHS could always refuse to treat people who eat processed meats.
It's shocking. -
if i don't get cancer , after having read a lifetimes worth of health warnings on cigarette packages saying i would if i kept it up , i'm gonna sue the gov't for lying to me .
-
If I don't get cancer from eating hot dogs, I'll surely get it from doing something else, like talking on my cell phone, getting too much sun, second hand smoke, or whatever else.
I definitely watch what I put into my body, but taking away bacon is decreasing my quality of life. -
Wait, people didn't already know this?
It is the nasty meat that's part of these classic English breakfasts that's the problem – sure you'll be fine with daily beans on toast!
