This is the personal story of Frank, a former Colombian paramilitary soldier, who was part of a massive demobilization process that forced more than 4100 men to give up their weapons.

Frank has suffered from his past, but lives to tell his story.

  • Your pods just keep getting better and better. Medallo has sure come a long way since the days of the cartel, I would like to see and learn more about the public projects that current Mayor Sergio Fajardo is carrying out throughout "La ciudad de la eterna primavera."

  • if i make a spellin gor grammar mistake please forgive me.
I mean.. look.... yo uforgive the president everyday for trying to destroy the environment... he is always trying to drill alaska for oil. when he should make gas cars illegal to make by 2010.. since the first zero-pollution car was built over 20 years ago in California.
if the USA was smart,, it woul dhave controlled the zero-pollution car market,, which is obviously the future.
gasoline will kill us.. it is suicide.. in the USA.. suicide is illegal. therrfore .. you must make gasoline cars illegal.
-- it is technically the law already.. but the cops don't always enforce the law.
    maybe you will convince them.
because they have problems listening to me.

I have been to Columbia , South America as a kid.
I thought it was a beautiful paradise.
    and still do.
I had a wild parate land on my hand... and i have a photo of it too !!!
    it had beautiful rainforests..
    the LUNGS of the world.
    and the fact is..
Columbia shut off all their electricity for 3 hours.. -- this happened over a half a year ago.
    fact.
    --
the USA then had a plan to do a similar thing about 2 weeks ago.
SO that tells you right there.. that they are more progressive thinkers and care more.
-- becasue in what was knows as the most violent country in the world.. -- when the power was shut off,, riots did not break out,, violence did not increase.. everything was cool.
so you all think about that for a while.
I made some life long friends when i was there too.
and I am so happy i did.
possibly the best friends in the world.. and one day.. i look foward to fishing with them.
-- they have grown like me,, and work in the theater and sing opera style,, some are married.. and they are all good people. and all came from good backgrounds.. parents that are lawyers and doctors.
    --
so don't think Columbia is all bad.. jsut becasue that is the only thing you see on the media.
I am here to tell the world.. that it is paradise.. with a few problems that they are working out.. and I hope one day the land will be filled with infanite peace and joy,, and is a place for them all to live happily ever after.

  • It's good to see that some are lucky enough to get a second chance and truly try to make the best of it.
