  • The words spiritual experience are going to loose their truth, strength and overall meaning as more and more people call earthly good times that may even make hairs stand on end or feel real good SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCES when they are not... You people don't know what a spiritual experience is or you would not use the term so lightly. You may think you have had one until you really have one!!! Then you'll SEE IT IS VASTLY DIFFERENT and you won't call the rather ordinary spiritual after a real encounter with The spirit ... if indeed you ever do really have one. The first time you have a true spiritual experience it will change your life.. the second time it will do it again and the third time you'll know the real power of a truly spiritual experience and you'll surely not misuse the term again. It is not simply an “AWESOME” EXPERIENCE it is way far and again past that and it cannot be show described shared or have meaning to any one but you alone... a true spiritual experience is not of this world in any way shape or form and a true spiritual experience is a solitary adventure in to realms not of this world or for this world or for people your spiritual experience is for god and no other reason. It is something you do for god not the other way round. I can go on and do in my book Time zero Zero time and the center of Infinite space...

  • Interesting character here. I think that it lacks conflict, but does follow a good amount of movement during her daily life. Watch out for some of the scenes where low light would be an issue for broadcast or keeping the audience's attention. The information perhaps needs to be more organized into some kind of story curve to be a bit more appealing and shaped overall. Great work though, it is thorough in settings and coverage.

  • Great Piece Daarina! It is shoot well and sounds great. This is a very intersesting story. You do not see a lot of stories like this on television today. It is wonderful seeing a women like Tasleem celebrate and embrace her Muslim faith. In a world full of discrimination and hate towards Islam, it is nice to see that there are people like Tasleem openly expressing their Muslim faith.

  • this was tight.

the whole topic was really fresh, i really haven't heard very much about Islam recently (that's not tied to the Iraq war) and so I think it's a really important thing for people to, at the very least, just to have on their radar. It's very easy to conjure up an image of Islam as being something that's unique only to everywhere else and completely ignore its prominence within so many American's lives. I think you did a really good job highlighting not only that voice, but the passion people have for it too!

    great job!

  • Hey this was great.
I am a bit biased since I shot it but I really think it is an important and neglected story. I learned a lot working on it with you. Some of the shots look darker and grainier probably because it is compressed for the web. I like learning about Tasleem and wanted to hear even more, I do think though that the Imam's sound bytes seem unfocused or difficult to follow. But again, I think this is very good and important work.

  • This was refreshing! I love seeing our reflection in the media. Distorted images of the Muslim are overplayed. Thank you.
