what i find upsetting is that the women was told to take her nipple rings off while the officers were watching. if they were really worried about security, they would have also asked her to take off the belly button ring she had on. but they didn't. they just wanted to humiliate her...

blue_blooded, she was NOT viewed by TSA agents she was behind a curtain the whole time, the reason she feels she was humiliated is because she claims she could hear TSA agents snickering at her.

my only thing with this is while annoying for her, she should have seen it coming i mean for god sakes you cannot even bring shampoo on a plane anymore!

(granted i am not saying the TSA is not overboard and paranoid, i am just saying this should not be a surprise)

also if her nipple rings had a metal detected by a sensor she has to take them off, her belly button ring may not have come up on detectors. i know a pair of boots i own have metal eyelets that ring up on detectors, but my pewter scout belt does not, even though i could do a whole lot more damage with a belt buckle than an eyelet on my shoes.
