Over the last few weeks, Wikileaks has made it into the news. This time it wasn't just exposing some unethical behavior of a corporation or government. This time a US federal court ordered them to be taken down at the request of a Swiss Bank that was exposed by the site for laundering money. A few days later, Wikileaks is back and getting a lot of international recognition for what it does.

  • This is a great pod - very watchable and interesting. What are people's thoughts on the rights of a US judge to disable a global website in this way? Check out the www.citizenreporter.org blog.

  • What a great site! I had no idea something like this existed! We all need to keep discussing it and passing it on so more and more people become aware of the possibility of anonymously whistleblowing.

  • I will definitely look at this site, sounds like a great tool for insuring and furthering peoples freedoms both at home and abroad.

  • I'd never heard of this website either, and it sounds like a great resource and tool for preventing and exposing corruption...which is so prevalent and tricky to tame. I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

  • No Judge should ever take it down lest he or she implicate themselves as protecting criminals.

    Great pod.

  • I found the information about Wikileaks valuable; the off-the-top-of-my-head rambling style, however, requires some polishing. It needs to be edited.

  • Polishing.. editing.. i refuse to conform to mainstream conventions. OH wait.. are you referring to wikileaks or me?
  • Do you want to get your pod on TV? If you do, please accept some constructive criticism. My comment was not meant to offend you, but rather to help you get your pod on TV. That is how it is supposed to work on current. I think you have a valuable piece of information that deserves to be broadcasted, and that is why I took the time to comment.

  • TV is the devil.

    Editing is the devil.

Seriously though.. dont worry about me.. I do things my way but I enjoy communicating with everyone.
  • Hey citizenreporter - this is darn cool! Very well done. I like your pic in the corner while you demo the site. Keep at it, mate! I'm going to check out wikileaks asap!

One bit of feedback - maybe be a bit more prepared before beginning. Otherwise, nice!

  • you tell em citizenreporter!

this is a really important thing, wikileaks. i remember when i first went to the site and poked around. it is such a valuable resource.
it is a disgusting sign of our times that a site dedicated to free information was indicted unjustly by a judge. information should be free and accessible to all.

good news: there are tons of 'mirror' sites all over the globe working to preserve the content on the website no matter what individual countries pretend to rule in the matter. servers all over the world. communicate. learn. share. evolve. peace.
