Does having a fundraiser thrown for you by someone in the Murdoch family ruin your chances with the left?

I consider myself to be on the left and yes, I dislike Fox News. I am interested in seeing what the response to Obama's fundraiser will be from other lefty's. I don't know very much about the daughter of Rupert Murdoch but maybe (hopefully) she has different ideals than her father.

it depends on the ideology of that specific murdoch.

I don't think being the daughter of Fox's Owner means that she neccesarily shares, condones, or participates in the views and bias that fox shares.
I think that was a bad connection to make at the very least you should have done a little digging to find out what Murdoch Jr.'s politics were.
