Definitely iPhone. The instinct doesn't seem as responsive.
-
bs... the thing vibrates as a response when you touch the dam thing. GPS, voice command, multi-tasking (he says the multi-tasking on iPhone is more limited...you have to be in WiFi to get a song on the iPhone, not so with Samsung's 99-cent songs) 1st machine on the "quicker" RevA spec, it's even a lil narrower and lighter. I want one ;) Instinct for me...
-
That is not even mentioning the Verizon LG that has a lot of the same features as both the Iphone and the Instinct. That includes the vibrating response while using the touch screen, GPS, camera, wifi, song downloads, and all the other cool applications that both phones advertise. The extra bonus on top of the mobile TV application is the full qwrty keyboard that flips open like the sidekick for those serial texters who aren't ready to fully move over to the touch screen.
All in all I think all the cell phone companies are stepping up with some great options showing off new technologies they've been working on.-

cool stuff clarity'. It'll be interesting to see all the gadget convergence going on not so far from now... had just been wondering when my PSP might be able to "make a call" or get one =P

You guys don't seem to understand features does not equate to function. There are LOTS of phones that have always possessed many more features than the iPhone. The quantity doesn't matter. It's how they work together. That's where the iPhone excels.
The Instinct is on Sprint's network. I'm no longer a Sprint customer. 'Nough said. -
good... cuz you sound like a (jealous? ;) hehe) died-in-the-wool "Apple" fan already, tranism...tsk...careful you might blow away what's left of any credible "objectivity" you might have left to offer anyone. and wha? is att't somehow spozed to be "better" than sprint??? 0.o HHhhmmm... think i'd probably spring for verizon before i ever ventured to consider att&t...[Desperate lasssst resort!] =D
The only thing "more" about the iphone to me is the cost! And I no longer "buy" Apple props myself without healthy skepticism....although I don't mind using their computers while I work (since I don't have to pay for those either!!! LOL)
i hear ATT&T is in bed with Microshaft for their "Surface" ...and I thought three was a crowd. =D http://current.com/items/88885842_microsoft_surface_hit...
iono, trans'... "more" trouble could be brewing in paradise there. =) -
There are a lot of people who are vehement about comparing products and angrily debating what is better. I try not to see it that way. I think it's great that the iPhone has caused other device makers to work harder, be more creative, and bring better products to the market. It's a win-win.

As usual Sprint is late to the game. They had a chance to get the iPhone, and instead they chose to get a wannabe phone. No wonder they lose 1 million customers and hundreds of miilions of dollars per quarter. They seem to choose phones and services that are good in concept when it's a little to late.
Where was the simply everything plan and Instinct when it it could have stopped the bleeding.
For me GSM is where it's at. I had Sprint , but grew tired of the shaky coverage and limited usage in the US only.
For me my money is on the iPhone and its 3G sibling coming soon. -
Why would you imply that the Instinct is already failed before it's even come to market so new as it is (re: that past tense bs of "could have stopped...")? =D (just an aside, sorry to digress, but: Does anyone remember those "AppleStores" of old where they'd have like a small tiny-ass section in Best Buy?! LOL) well, seems like I remember the guys in the video were quite a bit more enthusiastic having knowledge of both the NEW =D Instinct and the iPhone; and I don't think their impression was "wannabe" or "passe" at all; in fact, they rather seemed to like it!!! while checking out what a different and cool lil beastie it is =D And I didn't know Apple even had a market outside the U.S. LOL But since we're trashing companies, let's not forget the real reality that if it wasn't for the creative cult following of designers on the Mac, and a much-needed multi-million dollar loan from Microsoft not so so long ago, Apple wouldn't even be here today...not to discount how cool their own products can be...I just don't find that they're all that much better, if at all. I think this video shows that.
As far as network coverage, sounds like crap to me. even outside my "coverage" area I get reception (even when I'm not supposed to, supposedly); and most everyone (no matter the service) knows what roaming is about having done it once or twice at least so...if there's a cell tower somewhere Sprint will indeed use it to connect your call...if you know how to use your phone anyway...Outside the U.S. I understand you generally need an additional multiple frequency handset anyway just for the different bands abroad.
Truth told all communications cost, and you do pay; so I'm with benjaminV generally. Except when I see purely Apple-wannabe-branded bubble-heads floating by =P lol "Go iPhone!"
and...as far as I'm concerned as a generally satisfied but not thrilled to death Sprint business customer, "Go INSTINCT!!!" =D
