45 were injured Sunday night at the citrus bowl when a line carrying rockets snapped during the finale at the "Wrestlmaina24"PPV. as stated in the title, 45 fans were hurt, 3 were sent out on stretchers. It took the EMS and firefighters a long time(attendance record was set that night,approx.74,635) to get to the injured. only minor injuries mostly reported. The wrestler in the ring at the time, better known as "The Undertaker" was in the ring celebrating his 16-0 "Wrestlemaina" winning streak and winning the WWE world heavyweight championship. He wasn't aware of the malfunction and he wasn't hurt.
"This is being ruled as a freak accident. Wrestling fans who were watching Wrestlemania 24 pay-per-view from home didn't see what happened. WWE broadcasted a blackout during the Pyrotechnic accident. It was the first WrestleMania to be held in the state of Florida, and the second WrestleMania to be held entirely outdoors, the other being WrestleMania IX."
