"The army of the nation", a new organization affiliated with al-Qaeda, claimed responsibility for the sniper fire. Hamas' military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, also took responsibility for the attack along with an unknown organization called "the al-Aqsa defenders."

Translation; " Hello, George Bush? Yeah, we've found a new faction of an al-Qaeda network. Would you please send us some more free jets, bombs, and bullets to kill peasants with?"
This has gotten WAY out of hand, and no, I don't know where to start as to exactly which aspect is WAY out of hand; the killings, false blame, guns for oil, killing peasants with helicopter gunships or missiles from jets! However, I do know that most of the Israeli military is stood up with the $$$ of the U.S. taxpayers.
Couldn't we the people of the U.S. have more say in spending our taxdollars on things like education or healthcare? At least there'd be less bullets flying in the Middle East that were US tazpayer sanctioned.-

It's hard to say if Hamas being split into so many factions is good or not. Perhaps they are weaker, but they may be harder to confine or control.

You fail to realise that The terrorist surrounding the Israelis have promised to wipe them out. Yor sau Israel starves the children?? NO. Every year, the US and the EU sends at least $1Billion to the Palestinine govt. rather than use it to educate their kids with good western stuff, they make propaganda flicks and buy rockets from Hizbolla, Iran and syria to shoot into Israel.
Feel free to google "sedrot" it is a small Israeli town close to the Gaza strip. You will not belive whats happening there. -

Don't be silly ya'll. We already spend more on education than we do on warfare every year. The issue is that our educational system is attempting to be both centralized and decentralized at the same time, and that clearly doesn't work; just like individual freedom and social justice.
I sympathize for both sides, by my allegiance lies with Israel. The country was established in a bad part of the region, however, that cannot be helped. They exist, and they intend to continue, so they have every right to defend their right to exist. Kinda like Tibet or Taiwan, right?-

Firstly, it might be somewhat sensible to look to outside sources than current for the bases of your evidence.
Hamas charter:
"The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him."
Hamas stands as a terrorist organization that doesn't recognize Israel's right to exist. They have taken the money from their people to obtain arms from Hizbullah, Iran, and Syria to fire over 8,000 rockets since June 2006 (when Israel disengaged from Gaza to allow for them to have a democratic election and chance at self-governance) into neighboring cities such as Sderot.
Israel has not haltered water and electricity to Gaza. They have given food, water, and electricity to the Gazans albeit their virulent attacks at the Democratic State. In response, Israel has decreased power into Gaza in hopes of slowing the factories where these rockets are made.
These are facts. Check yours.
I pray for the day that Israelis and Palestineans can live together in unity and peace. But until the day that Palestineans love their children more than they hate Israelis, I don't see that day ever coming. -

Its is because of your ideology. Your koran commands you to kill jews, and because you know that the Americans like Jews, you want to use propaganda to make them look like demons.
You palestinines would rather leave your children around weapon stockpiles and Islamists so that when the Israelis strike on the weapons and terrorists, the babies and infants also die.

If the US did in fact spend more money on education, perhaps people like sitdownboycottswork would actually know what the hell they were talking about.
Israel is getting supported because it's THE ONLY liberal Democracy in the Middle East. You can debate it all you want, but that's the truth. Aside from that, the only reason the Palestinians have access to health care, electricity, etc is because of Israel.
It's so naive to think that the fighting would stop if US stopped giving aid to Israel.
